Amazing Little Bookshops: Hortons Books & Gifts

In this bookshop, we were greeted by sweet and serious cats. All felines were friendly and excellent shopkeeps! The outside looks like a fairly small, one-level shop. However, once inside we found a lovely surprise: This store has 2 levels! The street level you walk into has wonderfully curated collections, and this is also the domain of the adorable cats. There are collections of books on magic, sections on tea, romance, history, humor, and more. The front counter also has adorable and funny bookmarks, stickers, and other marginalia. Down the elegant wooden staircase toward the back of the store, you find the used books are on the lower level, where there are also some comfortable chairs and a chess game ready to play. The whole shop has the vibe of a beautiful antique house, filled up with amazing book displays! (and sweet cats!)
